USC unveils plans for 'game-changing' football performance center
USC Athletics is looking to improve athletic facilities across the board for the future. As a part of those improvements, the Trojans are looking to build what the university hailed as a “game-changing football performance center.”
According to USC’s release, the new football performance center will include 3 levels dedicated to team operations. On the top, that facility will feature a rooftop hospitality deck and player lounge. A second full-length practice field will also be added with access to the practice field directly from the performance center.
Current head coach Lincoln Riley raved about the future additions as ““an absolute game-changer for our program. It will be the perfect home for our team and give our players every opportunity to be successful.”
The complex also includes student-athlete-centered spaces with a new locker room, multiple lounges for players, a recovery hub and nutritional support, a weight room, sports science services and others. Other team features include an auditorium, position meeting rooms, recruiting areas, coach offices and flexible spaces.

The new football center is a part of the athletics “moonshot” program of USC President Carol L. Folt. Other pieces of the program include a new home for USC women’s lacrosse and soccer and enhancements for Dedeaux Field benefitting USC baseball.
“Every day our exceptional, hard-working student-athletes come here to pursue their dreams. We want to provide the facilities and support for those dreams to come true,” Folt said via the school’s press release. “These exciting new plans will benefit Trojan athletes across all 21 programs.”
