Caleb Williams totaled 267 yards of offense and four touchdowns. Austin Jones ran for a career-best 154 yards on the ground. Calen Bullock got his fifth interception of the season and Ralen Goforth recovered a fumble created by Eric Gentry. The stars came out to play for No. 6 USC Saturday night against No. 15 Notre Dame at the L.A. Coliseum.

With a spot in the Pac-12 Championship Game already secured, the Trojans handled business against the Fighting Irish for a 38-27 win to cap Lincoln Riley’s first regular season at 11-1. The win gave the Trojans their first over a ranked Notre Dame team since 2009 and, in the eyes of many, moved USC one step closer to the College Football Playoff.

After the win, social media was abuzz with talk of the CFP and the Heisman Trophy.

Williams seemingly locked up the award with his performance as he set a new USC record for touchdowns in a single season. With Ohio State, LSU, and Clemson all losing, USC also seems to be in excellent shape to make the CFP if it can win in Vegas next Friday.
