USC is continuing to gain momentum on the recruiting trail.

After picking up multiple blue-chip recruits over the last week, the Trojans are now going to work on one of the top prospects in the state of California.

4-star safety Peyton Woodyard, who is currently committed to Georgia, announced plans to take an official visit to USC on Friday. He will visit campus this weekend, he announced:

Woodyard has been committed to Georgia since January. However, the Trojans have not stopped recruiting him over the past few months.

He’s the No. 69 overall prospect and the No. 4 safety in the country for the class of 2024, per 274Sports Composite rankings. Woodyard is also the No. 7 player from the state of California.

He attends St. John Bosco High School in Bellflower, California. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 188 pounds.

Woodyard is also expected to take visits to Ohio State and Alabama this month.

USC has 8 commitments so far in the class of 2024. The group ranks No. 21 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
