USC will host an elite high prospect from the state of Oklahoma on a recruiting visit this weekend.

4-star defensive lineman Xadavien Sims announced Thursday that he will be making the trip to Southern California. Sims is being recruited by USC assistant coach Brian Odom, who also grew up in Oklahoma.

Here’s Sims’ announcement:

Sims attends Durant High School in Durant, Oklahoma. Odom went to high school in Ada, Oklahoma — the 2 towns are separated by fewer than 70 miles in the southern part of the state.

Sims would be a major addition for USC’s 2024 recruiting class. He currently ranks as the No. 174 overall player and the No. 18 defensive lineman in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 2 player from the state of Oklahoma.

He’s listed at 6-foot-3, 275 pounds. He’s also received offers from programs like Oklahoma, Michigan State, Arkansas, Ole Miss, Oregon and several other top teams.

USC currently has just 1 commitment in the class of 2024. The Trojans are still looking for their 1st addition on the defensive side of the ball.
