USC will open the 2027 season against UNLV at home, the program announced on Friday.

The Trojans and Rebels have reached an agreement for a one-off game to open the 2027 campaign. The two teams have played each other twice before, with both games being played at the L.A. Coliseum.

The UNLV game is the only known part of the 2027 slate so far. USC will be a battle-tested member of the Big Ten by that point. The Trojans have several other non-conference games on the slate coming down the pipe, including a matchup with LSU in 2024 in Las Vegas, a home-and-home series with Ole Miss to begin in 2025 at the Coliseum, and then games against San Jose State (2023, 2024), Nevada (2023) and Fresno State (2026).

USC’s last meeting with the Rebels came in 2018, a game that saw the Trojans walk away with a 41-23 victory. The other meeting in the series took place in October of 1997 when USC won 35-21.
