USC wide receiver Dorian Singer is back in the transfer portal, according to a report.

ESPN’s Tom VanHaaren was first to share that news on Wednesday morning. Singer made it into the portal ahead of Tuesday’s deadline.

Singer transferred to USC from Arizona last offseason. He was expected to be a major part of the Trojans’ offense after he earned 1st team all-Pac-12 honors in 2022. Instead, he finished the 2023 campaign with just 289 yards and 3 touchdowns.

With Singer taking a step back, it was Tahj Washington, Brenden Rice and Zachariah Branch who led USC in receiving yardage this season. However, Washington and Rice are set to enter the 2024 NFL Draft. That means the Trojans will have significant roles to fill at receiver going into next season.

Branch, a former 5-star recruit, will likely have a featured role on USC’s offense in 2024. The Trojans could also look to the transfer portal to add other receiving talent this offseason. USC has already received a commitment from Jaden Richardson, who is transferring in from Tufts (Div. III).

Singer will have one year of eligibility at his next destination.
