USC RB Travis Dye says 2022 Trojans are the best team he's been on
Travis Dye has been on some pretty good football teams.
His freshman season at Oregon, the Ducks won nine games. A year later, he was a key piece for an Oregon team that went 12-2, won a Pac-12 title, and won a Rose Bowl — led by current L.A. Chargers superstar Justin Herbert. In 2020, Oregon won another Pac-12 title. In 2021, Dye and the Ducks went to Ohio State and won early in the season, then made it back to a third straight Pac-12 title game.
Yet, despite all that success, he decided to transfer to USC and spend his final year of college football in Los Angeles. What he found in doing so, Dye said Saturday night after a 41-28 win, was the best football team he’s ever been on.
“I’ve been on a lot of good teams,” Dye said after the Trojans’ win over Stanford, per The O.C. Register’s Adam Grosbard. “This is the best team I’ve been on.”

Dye had 14 carries for 105 yards and a touchdown in the Trojan win. USC exploded out of the gates, building up a 35-14 halftime lead.
In first halves so far this season, USC is outscoring its opponents 66-28. The defense continues to give up yards in chunks, but the offense is rendering all of that yardage pretty toothless so far. USC has looked downright electric to open the season, prompting many Saturday night to question if it was the best offense in the country this season.
Dye probably thinks so.
