USC picks up commitment from fast-rising 2023 defensive lineman
The Trojans added another piece to their 2023 recruiting class this week.
Ontario (Calif.) Colony defensive lineman Deijon Laffitte has verbally committed to USC. He chose the Trojans after just picking up an offer in the last week.

The 6-foot-3, 285-pound Laffitte is rated as a 3-star in the industry-generated 247 Composite. He’s the 100th-ranked defensive lineman in the country and the 73rd-ranked recruit from the state of California. He holds Power Five offers from Washington, Washington State, Utah, Tennessee, and Oregon State, among others. Each of the five mentioned have offered since the start of September.
In four games so far this season, Laffitte has put up 23 total tackles, 11 tackles, and three sacks.
His verbal pledge gives USC its 18th known commitment for the 2023 class, a group that ranks top-15 nationally. You can view Laffitte’s highlight tape below, via Hudl:
Great story from @DougHaller on what went wrong with Herm Edwards at Arizona State.
