USC is a 24-point favorite over the Colorado Buffaloes in Week 5.

For the second week in a row, Deion Sanders and his team are 20-plus-point underdogs. And this time it’s at home. FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff will be there for the game, and USC will be looking to keep its unbeaten record intact against a CU team that was just humbled on a national stage this weekend by Oregon.

Early odds from Circa Sports have the over/under in the game set at 72.5.

The Buffaloes were beaten 42-9 by Oregon on Saturday for their first loss of the season. That loss dropped them out of the AP Top 25 altogether. USC should expect to see a motivated Colorado offense, particularly quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who was rendered ineffective by a relentless Oregon pass rush.

But then, USC might be able to follow the gameplan Oregon used to a tee.

The Trojans have the best quarterback in the country, and Lincoln Riley has to be excited about the prospect of facing a CU defense that just gave up 522 yards. Tailback MarShawn Lloyd has gotten rolling, and will look to keep it going against the nation’s 125th-ranked run defense.

And the Trojans just sacked Arizona State eight times. Against Colorado, defensive coordinator Alex Grinch should be able to scheme up plenty of successful pressures.

Kickoff is set for 9 a.m. PT on FOX.
