USC might be dipping in the polls, but Vegas still likes the Trojans.

Coming off a 48-41 win as a 20-plus-point favorite, USC is again a 20-point favorite over Arizona in its upcoming Week 6 matchup. Early odds from Circa Sports put the over/under for the game at 75.5.

Arizona gave Washington fits Saturday night in a 31-24 loss at home. The Wildcats played with upwards of seven defensive backs on the field and only four men in the box, and looked to neutralize Washington’s vertical pass game.

The Wildcats lost, but you could certainly make the argument their strategy worked. UW had to dink and unk more than normal, quarterback Michael Penix was sacked twice after being sacked only once in the first four games, and UW posted a season-low for points.

Up next for Arizona? Try and slow the nation’s No. 1 scoring offense in USC.

Putting points on the board hasn’t been an issue for the Trojans. Preventing the other team from doing so has been the problem.

Arizona will be an interesting litmus test for the suddenly-under-the-microscope USC defense. The Wildcats have cleared 30 points twice this season — against Northern Arizona and UTEP. And they battled Washington with a backup quarterback.

Kickoff between the two teams is set for 7:30 p.m. PT from the L.A. Coliseum. Coverage will be carried on ESPN.
