USC loses veteran offensive lineman to transfer portal, per report
USC offensive lineman Andres Dewerk is in the transfer portal, according to a report.
Dewerk made it into the portal ahead of Tuesday’s deadline for underclassmen. This likely ends Dewerk’s 4-year career with the Trojans. He initially joined USC as a 3-star prospect in the class of 2020.
The Athletic’s Antonio Morales shared the news that Dewerk has entered the portal:

Dewerk was the No. 1,263 overall player and the No. 100 offensive tackle in the country for the class of 2020, per 247 Sports Composite rankings. He was also the No. 112 player from the state of California in that class.
Dewerk is from Los Gatos, California. He was one of USC’s biggest offensive linemen, listed at 6-foot-7, 330 pounds.
Dewerk made his debut during the 2022 campaign. He was a reserve this past season and will now look to move on from the program in search of more playing time.
USC has earned commitments from nine transfers so far this offseason, although none of them play on the offensive line. It’s possible the Trojans will look to add to their O-Line before the start of the 2024 season.
Dewerk will have two years of eligibility remaining at his next program.
