The official Heisman Trophy campaign for Caleb Williams is up and running.

On Monday, USC went live with what essentially amounts to an ad campaign for its star quarterback to claim the 2022 Heisman Trophy. The Trojans have created a website — he13man.com — that highlights Williams, the player; Williams, the person; and everything Williams has done to help others with the platform he’s built since coming to Los Angeles.

The official campaign comes on the heels of a Pac-12 title berth-clinching win over UCLA at the Rose Bowl on Saturday during which Williams was a superstar in front of a national audience. He went 32-of-43 for a career-high 470 yards and two passing touchdowns while adding 33 rushing yards and a third score on eight carries.

Williams’ 503 total yards set a USC single-game record. The previous record was held by Kedon Slovis who had 502 yards versus UCLA in 2019. Williams’ total yardage was also the most by any player in the 92-game history of the series.

He’s the first USC quarterback in program history with multiple rushing scores in multiple games in a single season. His 316 rushing yards this year are the most by a USC QB since Troy Winslow had 319 in 1965.

On the year, Williams has produced 3,796 yards of total offense to go with 40 total touchdowns. No FBS player has more scores.

“Up to this point, I don’t think there’s been a better, more valuable player in college football than him,” coach Lincoln Riley said in the lead-up to USC’s game against Colorado. And nothing has changed in the two wins since.

No. 5 USC (10-1, 8-1 Pac-12) hosts No. 13 Notre Dame on Saturday before heading to Las Vegas to battle for the 2022 Pac-12 Championship. Williams’ Heisman odds have jumped to the second-best of any player in the country, behind Ohio State’s CJ Stroud.
