USC added a major piece to its 2026 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.

The Trojans picked up a commitment from Brandon Lockhart. He had offers from programs such as Oregon, Penn State and others.

Lockhart is one of the very best high school prospects in the country, regardless of position or class. He’s currently the No. 10 overall player and the No. 1 cornerback in the country for the 2026 cycle, per 247Sports Composite rankings.

He’s a local product who attends Loyola High School in Los Angeles. He’s listed at 6-foot-2, 165 pounds.

Along with quarterback Julian Lewis, USC now has two of the top prospects in the country for the 2026 recruiting cycle. Both Lockhart and Lewis are currently ranked as the No. 1 players at their respective positions.

In total, USC has three prospects currently committed in this cycle. The group sits at No. 1 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
