USC picked up a major commitment Tuesday coming off one player’s official visit to the program.

The player is Jason Zandamela, a 4-star interior offensive lineman that was visiting the Trojans this past weekend. He is also scheduled to take an official visit to Florida State on June 23, but Zandamela apparently saw enough with the Trojans.

He committed to USC on Tuesday with the Trojans beating out Florida State, Oklahoma, Georgia and Miami for the pledge:

Zandamela is listed at 6-foot-3 and 285 pounds out of Clearwater Academy International in Florida. The 247 Sports Composite rates him as a 4-star recruit, the No. 6 IOL in the country and the 112 overall recruit in the nation for the 2024 recruiting class.

Zandamela is a former rugby player that was born in Mozambique before moving to the US in 2020. He joins a 2024 recruiting class for USC that currently ranks 10th in the nation per the 247 Sports Team Composite.
