USC transfer commit Ethan White is no longer expected to play for the Trojans this season, according to a report.

White, a former All-SEC honoree at Florida, committed to USC back in January. Per On3’s Matt Zenitz, he has backed off of that commitment:

This is a big loss for the Trojans, as White was expected to slot in as a starting guard on USC’s offensive line. Instead, he will presumably find a new destination for his final 2 years of collegiate eligibility.

USC could be going back to the portal for a replacement. The Trojans have attempted to re-make their offensive line this offseason as they’ve also already added potential starters in Michael Tarquin and Jarrett Kingston.

Senior Gino Quinones is also a potential option for USC in the starting lineup.

USC’s spring practice ended over the weekend. The NCAA’s designated transfer window will remain open through the end of April.
