USC guard named Pac-12 Player of the Week following star performance against UCLA
USC guard Boogie Ellis was named the Pac-12 Player of the Week following an incredible past few games for the USC Trojans. Southern Cal has quietly put together a strong resume in the past few weeks, downing UCLA, Arizona State (in Tempe) and Utah.
Ellis totaled 49 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the Trojans last week in wins over the Bruins and Arizona State. His best game was against UCLA, dropping 31 points with 6 assists and 4 rebounds to give USC a 77-64 win.
Yeah, this week’s Player of the Week award was a bit of a no-brainer.

Ellis has slowly come into his own with the Trojans after transferring from Memphis 2 years ago. He’s scored in the double digits in 11 straight games and has really taken off in conference play. As a result, USC is 7-3 in the Pac-12.
USC is back in action this Thursday against Washington State.
