USC earns commitment from big-bodied 2023 tight end
USC is putting a heavy emphasis on the tight end position in this 2023 recruiting cycle, and on Wednesday the Trojans added a pretty promising one.
Kade Eldridge, a 3-star from Lynden Christian (Wash.), announced his commitment to USC on social media Wednesday. The 6-foot-5 athlete is expected to begin his Trojan career at tight end, and he picked USC over interest from Oregon, Washington, Boise State, and Cal, among others.
Thank you God for putting me in this situation. Id like to announce my commitment to USC, and cant wait for what the future holds! FIGHT ON✌️@USC_FB @LincolnRiley @CoachZachHanson @RealMG96 @TFordFSP @BrandonHuffman pic.twitter.com/5T34pFLjvT

Eldridge was just in Los Angeles on an official visit and evidently liked what the Trojans had to offer. He told 247Sports’ Brandon Huffman that he’s shutting his recruitment down and won’t be taking anymore officials.
A two-way talent for Lynden Christian, the defensive end/tight end rates as a 3-star in the industry-generated 247Sports Composite. He’s the 38th-ranked athlete in the class and the seventh-ranked prospect from the state of Washington. Eldridge’s pledge gives the Trojans 11 known commitments for the 2023 class, which ranks in the top-10 nationally.
