USC’s game trailer for Saturday’s contest with No. 20 Utah features as appropriate a line as you’ll hear all day.

Coach Lincoln Riley is voicing over the hype video, stressing to his team that focus is all that matters now. “There’s nowhere to hide,” Riley says. “You’re out there between the white lines and you’re either gonna do it or you’re not.” Juxtapose that with the first sound you hear in the video — a voice saying this weekend’s trip to Salt Lake City gives USC a chance to validate itself as a legitimate contender this season.

That’s the rub, right? The seventh-ranked Trojans journey into Rice-Eccles Stadium Saturday evening for a game that has been circled on everyone’s calendar for months. But all the talk won’t help USC, all the emotion won’t help USC. To stay unbeaten, they will have to play their best game yet.
