USC drops game trailer for last Pac-12 clash with Stanford
USC will face Stanford Saturday night at the L.A. Coliseum for the final time as Pac-12 foes.
The Trojans head to the Big Ten after the year. Stanford will move to the ACC. It’s unclear if and when this rivalry — which has been played more than 100 times — will be picked up again once the two California powers reach their new homes. And that makes Saturday night special for USC.
Which calls for a special guest for this week’s game trailer.
“They say the journey is more important than the destination,” Snoop Dogg says as the trailer begins. “It ain’t gonna be easy. And it ain’t gonna be pretty. But it wouldn’t be worth it if it was.”
USC, ranked sixth in the country, has opened the year 2-0. The Trojans beat San Jose State in their Week 0 opener, then followed that up last weekend with a 66-14 win over Nevada.
So far this year, the Trojans have averaged 6.9 rushing yards a game and 9.5 yards a play. Quarterback Caleb Williams has completed 36 of his first 49 passes for 597 yards and nine touchdowns without an interception.
Stanford will try to do something many have tried and failed at since Lincoln Riley landed in Los Angeles — slow down the USC offense.
Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT on FOX.
