USC is eager to move past a disappointing 47-24 loss to Utah in the Pac-12 Championship Game. Though a Cotton Bowl matchup with Tulane is a far cry from a College Football Playoff spot, the Trojans still have the chance to head into the offseason with some major momentum.
“We’ve tried to learn from (the loss) and vowed to be better in this game, and to be the team that we were the previous 12 games,” Riley told reporters on Sunday. “That’s been a big point of emphasis for us… [It’s] something we can learn from and grow from. We’ve certainly vowed to not repeat that again.”
Kickoff against the 16th-ranked Green Wave (11-2) is set for 10 a.m. PT on ESPN.
