USC is gearing up for the 2023 season in what will be Year 2 under head coach Lincoln Riley. With star quarterback and Heisman winner Caleb Williams returning, expectations are high for the Trojans after a strong debut with Riley a season ago.

To help kick start anticipation for the season, USC is once again hosting the “Salute to Troy” celebration. In 2022, USC hosted the event in June to capitalize on the hype of signing Riley to lead the football program.

This year, the Trojans will host the annual event on Friday, Aug. 18 at Allyson Felix Field at Kathern B. Loker Stadium. Start time for the event is announced as 5:30 pm PT.

The night is hailed as a celebration of Trojan football and provides fans a chance to meet this year’s team and the members of The Spirit of Troy marching band.

This year’s event is also one week prior to the kickoff for the regular season. USC will open the 2023 slate in Week 0 with a home game against San Jose State on Saturday, Aug. 26. After that, USC will be off and running with home games against Nevada and Stanford before an off week on Sept. 16.
