Scott Van Pelt has unveiled his picks for Week 9.

Each week, the veteran anchor picks his “Winners,” and this week is no different. One of the games picked by Van Pelt is the USC-California matchup.

The Trojans, losers of 2 in a row, are heading to take on the Golden Bears at home. Can the Trojans get back to their winning ways? SVP thinks the Bears will cover the 10.5-point spread.

“Stay in the conference of champions. We like Cal at home plus the points from a USC team that feels like it’s teetering,” explained Van Pelt.

It’s also noted that SVP is 9-6 all-time when picking the Golden Bears.

The Bears are 2-2 at home this season and 3-4 overall. The last time these Pac-12 rivals played in Berkeley, the Bears came out on top, winning 24-14. Last season, the Trojans came out on top winning 41-35 in Los Angeles. Overall, the Trojans have won 72 wins in the head-to-head series while the Bears have just 31.

Cal will be looking to keep their bowl hopes alive, while the Trojans are trying to turn their season around. The in-state rivals will kick off at 1 p.m. Pacific on Saturday.
