San Jose State coach says Caleb Williams and USC have a talent that he's never seen
College football fans don’t agree on many things, but if there is one thing we all agree on, it’s that Caleb Williams is a superstar.
The reigning Heisman Trophy winner has huge expectations as he enters his second season as the USC quarterback. The Trojans are looked at as a potential playoff team, and Williams is a favorite to repeat as the Heisman Trophy winner.
One person who will get to see Caleb Williams up close is San Jose State coach Brent Brennan. The Spartans face USC on Aug. 26, and Brennan spoke about how special of a player Williams is.
“They’ve got excellent personnel everywhere, they’re obviously very well coached. For us, it’s about playing good football.”@SanJoseStateFB head coach @CoachBrennan tells @ChildersRadio and @CoachNeuheisel why he’s excited for the challenge of taking on @uscfb in Week Zero. pic.twitter.com/iIlPdjUBtC

“I’ve never seen a college football player like Caleb Williams,” Brennan said. “That’s just my own opinion. I’m 27 years in and I have never seen anyone like him. He is just brilliant in every way. You add that with the normal high level talent at USC.”
Opening kickoff is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.
