Amon-Ra St. Brown is a budding star in Detroit.

And people are starting to take notice. This past weekend, The Detroit Lions’ wideout made history. Eight catches. Five straight games. No other rookie has done it before.

The former USC product put up 2,270 yards and 16 touchdowns in three seasons with the Trojans. Detroit selected him in the fourth round of last year’s NFL Draft, 112th overall. Over the course of his rookie season, St. Brown has put up 803 yards on 82 receptions. His most recent performance was by far his best, as the first-year man topped 100 yards for the first time in his career—eight receptions, 111 yards, a score.

Over his last five, he’s also seen double-digit targets every game. With 57 targets over that span, he’s been involved more in the last five games than he was over the first 11 of the season. Given the opportunity, St. Brown has risen to the occasion.

He currently ranks fourth among rookie receivers in yardage.

The Lions conclude their season next Sunday when they host the Green Bay Packers.
