Robert Griffin III says Caleb Williams had ‘realest moment of his career’ vs. Washington
Robert Griffin III said that seeing Caleb Williams crying in the stands with his family after the Washington loss was heartbreaking. But he also thought it was an endearing moment.
Griffin has watched Williams play through injuries and leave everything on the field. Griffin believes any NFL team will be lucky to have Williams.
“Not gonna lie people. This right here broke my heart. This is USC’s Caleb Williams, last year’s Heisman trophy winner, sobbing with his family after the loss to Washington tonight,” said Griffin. “I’ve watched this guy play injured and give everything single thing he has on the football field. Seeing him sobbing like this shows me how much this game means to him. Any NFL team will be lucky to have him.”
When you pour your all into something and it doesn’t go the way you planned, it hurts. Caleb Williams has a bright future and this type of emotion is the realest moment of his career yet. pic.twitter.com/ac9Ldbb0Li

USC lost to Washington, 52-42, for its third defeat of the season. Williams finished the game with 312 yards passing and four total touchdowns.
Williams has still put up strong numbers even though USC’s season hasn’t gone the way it hoped. Williams has 2,958 yards passing with 38 total touchdowns.
However unlikely it may seem, USC can still make it to the Pac-12 title game. The Trojans would need to win out, but they meet Oregon next Saturday (7:30 p.m. PT, FOX) with a chance to snag both second place in the league and a crucial tie-breaker with the Ducks.
