Reggie Bush likely out as FOX CFB analyst, per report
Reggie Bush’s time at FOX appears to be nearing an end.
Media insider Andrew Marchand of the New York Post reports that FOX is closing in on signing New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram to replace Bush on the “Big Noon Kickoff” pregame show. Ingram, a former Alabama running back, would retire from the NFL to become a college football analyst.
Bush and FOX are in a contract dispute, according to Marchand. The New York Post notes that Bush and FOX “first squabbled over money last year.” FOX reportedly considered ESPN analysts Desmond Howard and Robert Griffin III as Bush replacements but did not make formal offers.
Bush joined FOX Sports as an analyst ahead of the 2019 college football season. He retired from the NFL in 2016 after 11 professional seasons, winning Super Bowl XLIV in 2010 as a member of the New Orleans Saints.
At USC, Bush earned consensus All-America honors and Pac-10 Player of the Year accolades for the 2004 and ’05 seasons. Bush led the nation with an average of 222.3 all-purpose yards per game in 2005 and finished fourth in the NCAA with an average of 133.8 rushing yards per game.
