Paul Finebaum slams Alex Grinch's defense after Colorado game, says USC will not win national title
While USC has looked like one of the best team’s in the nation in some aspects, there are still plenty of areas that are lacking.
The biggest area is the Trojans’ defense.
On Saturday, their poor defense almost cost them the game. After taking an early 34-7 lead, Colorado was able to come back and get in the game, and the Buffaloes were a touchdown short of tying the game late.
On Sunday, Paul Finebaum did not hold back in his criticisms of USC, calling out their defense and letting fans know that the Trojans will not win the national championship.
“I think USC’s defense is a complete fraud,” Finebaum said on the Matt Barrie Show. “I was told by one of our data people this week how much better they are. They’re not. USC is not winning the national championship. Let’s just get that established right now.”
USC’s defense gave up 41 points to the Buffaloes in one of the Trojans’ first tests of the season. They will have to get better defensively if they want to reach the College Football Playoff.
