No. 1 player out of England, Class of 2023 DE, includes USC in final 3
USC is in the running for the No. 1 player out of England in the Class of 2023. You read that correctly.
Emmanuel Okoye, who currently attends the NFL Academy in England and stands at 6-5, 230, dropped a top 3 of USC, Texas Tech and Tennessee Wednesday afternoon. Okoye is a monstrous athlete and recently hit the scene as a true national prospect.
And it’s not every day a football player from England drops a top 3:

Okoye is considered to be the No. 29 edge prospect in the country according to 247Sports’ rankings. The recruiting service does not have a national ranking for Okoye.
Okoye took a recruiting trip to the United States in April, visiting Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Texas Tech and USC. Vanderbilt was cut from the list, though it’s apparent he’s had his eyes on these 3 schools for some time.
Okoye talked with On3Sports about his commitment prior to his final 3 being released:
“USC is a great academic school with a great football tradition, great coaches, and teammates,” he said. “It was a beautiful environment with a lot going on and great weather.”
From London to LA? We’ll know soon enough.
