Miller Moss made his case for the QB1 job at USC next season in the first half of the Holiday Bowl on Wednesday night. He made it loudly, and quite clearly.

The third-year quarterback tied a Holiday Bowl single-game record for touchdown passes with four — in one half. He completed 13 of his 18 passes for 214 yards and four scores, didn’t take a sack, stood in the pocket to deliver darts, completed a couple more touch passes downfield for points, and generally looked more than capable of leading Lincoln Riley’s offense.

Moss looked completely in command while making his first career start.

With Caleb Williams expected to head to the NFL Draft, USC has been looking in the transfer portal for a replacement. The Trojans have been heavily linked to Kansas State transfer quarterback Will Howard, but fans are now questioning if USC would be better served adding depth to the room and letting Moss have a shot at the job.
