Michael Vick to mentor USC quarterback commit through NIL firm
At the height of his power, few players in the National Football League were as electric as Michael Vick.
The longtime NFL quarterback is now returning to the game of football, hoping to pass down what he knows to the next generation of quarterbacks. Vick is partnering with the athlete management firm Levels Sports Group as its head of athletic development.
Vick will work with various prospects sponsored by the firm, including 5-star 2023 quarterback Malachi Nelson and 4-star wideout Makai Lemon, both of whom are committed to USC.
I'm excited to announce I'll be joining @levels_sports as a Partner & Head of Athlete Development. Can't tell you how hyped I am to help mentor & guide these young athletes in their careers & in the NIL space. ⁰⁰Big things ahead. 🤫💯 ⁰⁰#OnAnotherLevel #NIL #LevelsSportsGroup pic.twitter.com/VwjhT97G37

“I could not be more excited to partner with Levels and work with the talented athletes on their roster,” Vick said in a release. “As someone who has had success at the highest level of football, I am looking forward to mentoring guys like (Clemson quarterback) DJ (Uiagalelei), Malachi and Makai, and helping them get to wherever they want their football and professional careers to go.”
Nelson is the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2023 class, per the 247Composite. The Los Alamitos 5-star was an Oklahoma commit before flipping to join Lincoln Riley at USC.
At 6-foot-3, he’s a smooth athlete with a cannon for an arm. He’s also the centerpiece of the Trojans’ 2023 class and a player Riley hopes can be a foundational piece going forward as he rebuilds the USC program.
