Lincoln Riley speaks to importance of playing in the Holiday Bowl
Lincoln Riley’s USC Trojans are set to take on the Louisville Cardinals in the Holiday Bowl.
Ahead of the game, Riley joined Sirius XM B1G Radio for the first time. The coach talked about his team’s preparation for the game, and what it means to make a bowl game.
“You can’t let all that outside stuff take away from the opportunity that’s at hand,” explained Riley. “As all of us that have played the game know, you don’t get too many of these (opportunities).”
✌️ It’s been about six weeks since @uscfb last played a football game.✌️

The coach knows that even the Trojans fell short of expectations, it’s still a big deal to make a bowl game.
“They’re numbered for everybody, and you better take advantage of every chance that you get,” Riley declared.
The Trojans finished the regular season with a 7-5 record and will take on the 10-3 Louisville Cardinals. The teams will kick off from San Diego on Dec. 27 at 5:00 p.m. PT. This is the first-ever meeting between the 2 teams.
