Lincoln Riley insists Texas A&M transfer Anthony Lucas has been 'great for the culture'
Lincoln Riley spoke on Texas A&M defensive line transfer Anthony Lucas Wednesday, calling the former Aggie a great member of the Trojans family.
Lucas was one of several Aggies to jump ship following a 5-7 year in 2022. He was also a member of the Aggies’ historic 2022 recruiting class.
What has stood out to Riley is Lucas’ want-to and involvement in the program since arriving earlier in 2023.
“He’s been a great team member,” Riley said, via 247Sports. “He’s very involved, very personable. He’s gotten to know a lot of our people really well. He’s been one of our best hosts in terms of recruiting and just getting involved in a lot of things that guys don’t actually have to do. He’s been super active. He’s a fun kid to be around. He’s been great for the culture.”
Lucas was rated as the No. 32 overall prospect in the Class of 2022, as well as the No. 8 DL and No. 1 player out of Arizona per 247Sports.
He’s one of a few incoming DL transfers, joining former Georgia DL Bear Alexander and former Purdue DL Jack Sullivan.
