Korey Foreman, former 5-star DL, reportedly plans to hit transfer portal
Korey Foreman is a former 5-star recruit who headlined USC’s 2021 recruiting class. He appeared in 3 seasons for the Trojans, but his usage dipped in 2023 after failing to crack his full potential.
Now, Foreman is reportedly entering the transfer portal as of Tuesday evening with the Trojans making changes to the defensive staff. He leaves with unmet expectations and joins fellow 5-star prospects for USC currently in the portal.
Korey Foreman is the next former five-star at USC to enter the transfer portal.
When Foreman signed as the No. 1 recruit in 2021, a billboard announced his arrival on campus. But he never found his place at USC. Will be curious to see if another school can unlock his talent.

According to the 247 Sports Composite, Foreman was the top defensive lineman and the No. 2 overall prospect in the 2021 recruiting class. He came to the Trojans as the top in-state player in the cycle but contributed just 25 total tackles, 4.5 TFL, 2.5 sacks and an interception during his 3 years at USC.
Foreman is not the first key defensive member to hit the portal in recent days. Former 5-star CB Domani Jackson and 4-star LB Tackett Curtis are also in the portal for the time being.
The string of moves follows a major shakeup for USC’s defensive staff following a disappointing 2023 performance. In a trio of hirings, Lincoln Riley has tabbed D’Anton Lynn as his DC, Doug Belk to replace Donte Williams as the defensive backs coach and Matt Entz as the new linebackers coach and assistant head coach for defense.
