ESPN has come out with its games to be excited about in the 2023 college football season, and the Pac-12 landed 3 of them.

A combination of Deion Sanders being at Colorado and Southern Cal returning the Heisman Trophy winner in Caleb Williams makes for must-see TV across the country. Throw in TCU, the surprising team that made the national championship game, and the defending Pac-12 champion Utah, and there’s more than enough interest.

  • Colorado at TCU on Sept. 2
  • USC at Colorado on Sept. 30
  • Utah at USC on Oct. 21

To open the season, Alex Scarborough put it this way: “All eyes were already going to be on TCU after its Cinderella run to the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. But opening the 2023 season against Colorado and first-year coach Deion Sanders makes the game even more interesting. Not only do we get our first glimpse at Coach Prime in the Power 5, we get to see how the Horned Frogs will look without Heisman Trophy finalist quarterback Max Duggan and standout receiver Quentin Johnston.”

The Buffaloes will then get a test from Williams a week after their first conference road game at Oregon. Colorado’s cornerbacks, expected to be Travis Hunter and Cormani McClain, a pair of elite recruits, will be an interesting matchup against the Trojans’ passing attack.

The third game will be a rematch of the Pac-12 title game, as the Trojans look to bounce back from 2 losses to the Utes last season, which derailed their chances of making the College Football Playoff.
