Duce Robinson is a 5-star football talent and dual-sport athlete enrolled at USC. A member of the 2023 recruiting class, Robinson was one of the top players in the country with a host of offers.

Though a tight end on the football field, Robinson has also wowed some scouts with his batting profile on the baseball diamond. Due to his large frame and right-handed power swing, he has drawn some comps to Aaron Judge, the 2022 AL MVP and star for the New York Yankees.

Robinson has not been shy about trying baseball and football in college, and the potential for him to be selected in the 2023 MLB Draft means he could still sign a professional contract and skip USC altogether if desired. However, as of Tuesday afternoon, Robinson has not been selected.

The first 10 rounds of the draft have concluded with Robinson still on the board. Rounds 11-20 will take place Tuesday, so he could still come off the board, but it also paints a better picture for Robinson’s chances of suiting up for the Trojans.

With signing bonus values traditionally dropping as the draft moves along, it does not look likely that an MLB organization will offer a massive payday for Robinson to bypass his time at USC. And in this era of NIL opportunities, Robinson has the chance to make some money while with the Trojans.

As a football prospect, Robinson was rated a 5-star recruit, the No. 17 player nationally and the No. 1 TE in the country by the 247 Sports Composite. He’s listed at 6-foot-6 and 225 pounds and would likely prove to be a matchup nightmare in Lincoln Riley’s offense.
