Drake London has the Trojans on Saturday.

Surprise, surprise, right? The former USC receiver is picking USC. Who could have thought? But London has quite the score prediction. USC 66, Fresno State 32. Book it.

The Atlanta Falcons’ rookie receiver sat down with Mykal Walker, a linebacker for the Falcons and a former Fresno State Bulldog. The two went back and forth a bit on this Saturday’s clash at the L.A. Coliseum. Walker, of course, took Fresno State to win. London made sure to give respect to the Bulldogs but, no, he doesn’t think Saturday’s game will be close.

London was picked eighth overall by the Falcons in the 2022 NFL Draft this past April, making him the highest-drafted receiver to come out of USC since Mike Williams was taken 10th overall in the 2005 Draft.

When healthy, the 6-foot-4 London played like one of the best receivers in the country. Even though he only played in eight games, he was selected to the FWAA All-American team as a second-teamer and to the AP All-American team as a third-teamer. He was a first-team All-American selection by PFF after recording the highest receiving grade by a Pac-12 player in the outlet’s history (they began grading college players in 2014).

USC wasted no time in finding another go-to receiver to try and replace his production. Trojan head coach Lincoln Riley went out and snagged the reigning Biletnikoff Award winner, Jordan Addison, from Pittsburgh. Addison has over 200 receiving yards and four scores through his first two games as a Trojan.

The Trojans played Fresno State once while London was on campus, a 31-23 win in 2019. They’ll look for another win Saturday. London doesn’t think it should be too challenging.
