Jackson was the second Trojan taken in this year’s draft, joining wideout Drake London, picked eighth overall on Thursday night. Information on London’s deal can be found here.
The 6-foot-3, 254-pound end should get a chance to play an early role within the 49ers defense as it looks for a player to complement Nick Bosa on the other side of the line. A Corona, California, native, Jackson recorded 103 tackles, 25 TFLs, 12.5 sacks, four pass breakups, two picks, and a forced fumble in 28 appearances (26 starts) for USC during his time with the program.
