After a dominant performance against Stanford over the weekend, two Trojans were named Players of the Week by the Pac-12 on Monday.

Quarterback Caleb Williams was named the Offensive Player of the Week while defensive lineman Tuli Tuipulotu was selected as the top player at his position for Week 2.

Williams went 20-for-27 on his passes in the Trojans’ 41-28 win over Stanford this weekend. He threw for 341 yards and four scores, powering an offense that was completely unstoppable in the first half.

The win was USC’s first over the Cardinal in Stanford Stadium since 2014. USC’s 41 points were also the most points scored against Stanford since USC scored 45 points in its victory over the Cardinal in 2019 in the Coliseum.

Through two games, Williams’ 79.6% completion percentage and 221.1 quarterback rating both rank second nationally. He’s also third nationally in yards per pass attempt (12.0). With Williams at the helm, the Trojans had 505 yards in total offense against the Cardinal. The second-year quarterback has been outstanding in his first two weeks for USC, completing 45 of his 57 total pass attempts for 671 yards and six scores with zero interceptions.

On the defensive side, Tuipulotu was a wrecking ball. He recorded six tackles, four tackles for loss, a forced fumble, and a pass breakup.

The Trojans are back in action on Saturday when they host Fresno State at 7:30 p.m. PT on FOX.
