Caleb Williams is following in the footsteps of DJ Uiagalelei and Bryce Young. The 2022 Heisman winner will reportedly be joining forces with Dr. Pepper to appear in the brand’s famous “Fansville” TV ad series.

Specifically, Williams and his painted fingernails (which he changes up for every USC game) will be featured on the show. His mother, a nail technician, painted his fingers maroon and white for the ads, an idea proposed by Dr. Pepper.

Williams was asked about his involvement with the ad, to which he gave this response:

“I did have fun; it was a very cool kind of event for me,” Williams said, via Sports Illustrated. “Not only for me, but to be able to bring my mom into the equation. It’s something you watch as a child—Dr Pepper, ‘Fansville.’ You watch it and enjoy it, and I never thought I would be on this. Now to be on this is really cool.”

There’s a reason Dr. Pepper selected Williams for this ad. Like Bryce Young last year Williams is argued by many as the top QB in the game. He sets into 2023 looking to be the first back-to-back Heisman winner since Archie Griffin in 1974-1975.

He and the Trojans have some unfinished business on the field as well. USC just missed out on the CFP last season and launch their campaign to crack the 4-team event on Saturday, August 26 against San Jose State.

Williams’ 2023 campaign is set to kick off at 5 p.m. PT on the Pac-12 Network.
