Caleb Williams throws shade at Arizona State defender after sideline incident
Caleb Williams had Arizona State’s defenders spinning like a top on Saturday. The USC quarterback was forced to scramble more than coach Lincoln Riley would have liked, but Williams made magic happen on more than several occasions when he was flushed from the pocket.
One such play in the first half didn’t amount to much in terms of yardage gained, but it set the stage for one of the more entertaining moments of the night. Arizona State’s Nesta Jade Silvera was seen shooting some water at Williams as he jogged away from the ASU sideline late in the second quarter.

Williams made sure to get the last laugh. Watch No. 4 in white on the play.

Williams ran for 44 yards and a touchdown in the game. He threw for another 348 and three scores. After an off performance in the team’s win over Oregon State the week prior, he looked every bit the Heisman Trophy contender he was billed as in the preseason.
The sixth-ranked Trojans (5-0) face Washington State (4-1) on Saturday.
