Caleb Williams, Lincoln Riley address addition of Kliff Kingsbury to offensive staff
Caleb Williams was dangerous last season. His Heisman trophy probably conveys that quite well, right?
The former Oklahoma QB turned LA superstar has the potential to be that much more dangerous in 2023, too. With the addition of Kliff Kingsbury as a Senior Offensive Analyst, with emphasis on QBs, it’s hard not to get excited about how deadly an already potent offense could be next season.
Lincoln Riley agrees. The USC head coach met with media Tuesday night to address spring practice, as well as the recent addition of Kingsbury which he insisted was in the works for nearly a month before being announced Monday night.
He insisted it says a lot about the state of USC’s program that an accomplished coach such as Kingsbury would see the value in his role on the staff.
Lincoln Riley says it’s “a cool statement” about the #USC program that a coach as accomplished as Kingsbury would see this as a great professional opportunity aside from his personal connection with Riley.

As for Williams, he has some history with one of Kingsbury’s former players, Kyler Murray. He was asked Tuesday if he has reached out to Murray since hearing the news.
Not quite:
USC quarterback Caleb Williams is speaking to the media following their last Tuesday practice of spring camp.
He was asked about if he contacted Kyler Murray following the news of Kliff Kingsbury joining the staff. He said “I liked the picture and kept scrolling.”
