Caleb Williams is having a night to forget on the road vs. Notre Dame. The reigning Heisman Trophy winner entered Week 7 with a 22-to-1 TD-to-INT ratio and was completing 71.7% of his passes.

That trend, however, was flipped on its head in South Bend. Williams has thrown 3 first-half interceptions against the Fighting Irish, and those turnovers have directly led to a big swing for Notre Dame.

Two of Williams’ interceptions have led to Notre Dame drives beginning in the red zone, and the third started a drive for the Irish at midfield. The Irish have cashed in all 3 interceptions for touchdowns, leading to a 24-6 lead for Notre Dame.

To call Williams’ first half disastrous is a bit of an understatement. It is the QB’s first career game with 3 interceptions, and it is just his second career game with multiple picks. The last time he threw multiple interceptions was against Baylor during his freshman season at Oklahoma.
