Best in the country? College football world in awe of USC's offense under Lincoln Riley
The best offense in the country?
That’s what folks are debating after USC ran up 35 points on the Stanford Cardinal Saturday night in primetime.
Aided by three first-half turnovers from Stanford, USC put on a show in the first 30 minutes of its second game under Lincoln Riley. Quarterback Caleb Williams went to the locker room for the halftime break with more touchdowns (four) than incompletions (two) and 244 passing yards. Star wideout Jordan Addison was on the receiving end of two of those scores — putting up 124 yards receiving in just the first half.
After a 66-14 drubbing of Rice in the opener, USC’s offense looks awfully effective early on in Lincoln Riley’s first year with the program. Williams and Addison were equally effective working in tandem a week ago, and it has the rest of the college football public raving about that side of the ball…
And questioning the other side, which gave up 319 yards in the first half itself.

like if you had to pick the best anything of any Pac-12 team, USC’s offense is the best thing in the entire league. this shit looks like a nightmare. and i’m not convinced there’s a defense that can stop them right this very moment.

This #USC offense just looks smooth. Like they know exactly what they want to do and they just do it.

Is USC's offense this good or is Stanford's defense this bad?
Yes

#USC is playing a bit like Chip Kelly's old Oregon teams right now. Nearly unstoppable offense, but the defense plays for turnovers to get ahead on possessions so the offense can simply out score the opposition.

USC’s offense is electric. USC’s defense is a bit of an issue.

Stanford doesn’t even know the questions let alone have any answers for the #USC offense to start.

Ngl, USC’s offense looks unstoppable… It’s the defense that worries me. Stanford could run the ball the rest of the game and score, but I guess USC’s offense will keep The Cardinal from playing clock management now that they’re up 2 possessions. They’ll come out passing next QTR

Our offense is crazy good! @USC_FB !!

A 98-yard drive for USC to go up 28-7 after the forced fumble. I think this offense is pretty good

So USC's offense is an absolute nightmare already huh

Stanford’s defense looks like a FCS team against USC’s offense.
