USC moved up three spots in the latest AP Top 25 poll.

Released on Sunday, the Trojans checked in at No. 7 in the most recent media poll. On Saturday, USC went to Stanford and rolled the Cardinal in front of a national audience on ABC. The offense scored touchdowns on its first five possessions as USC raced out to a 35-14 lead.

This week’s ranking is the highest USC has been in the AP poll since the week of Sept. 24, 2017.

The Trojans (2-0) are off to a wonderful start in coach Lincoln Riley’s debut season. USC’s starters got a shorter-than-expected run in the opener against Rice as USC won 66-14. A week later, the team again raced out to a big lead and coasted down the stretch, eventually beating Stanford 41-28.

USC is back in action next Saturday at home when it hosts Fresno State (1-1). Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT on FOX.
