Amon-Ra St. Brown probably won’t be coming out of fantasy lineups at all this season.

The former Trojan receiver got his 2023 campaign off to a roaring start Thursday night by scoring the first touchdown of the new NFL season. A third-year wideout for the Detroit Lions, St. Brown brought in a third-and-6 pass and took it 9 yards for six points in the opening quarter to put the Lions up 7-0 on the defending champs.

The Lions pulled off a fake punt on fourth-and-2 earlier in the same drive to keep things rolling.

St. Brown paid it off with his 12th career receiving touchdown in his first 34 games.

Last season, St. Brown brought in 106 receptions for 1,161 yards and six touchdowns. As a rookie, he recorded 90 receptions for 912 yards and five scores. A fourth-round pick of the Lions back in the 2021 NFL Draft, St. Brown has been one of the absolute steals of the entire class.
