Alijah Vera-Tucker, a former USC standout and current New York Jets offensive lineman, will miss the remainder of the 2023 NFL season after suffering a torn Achilles against Broncos.

This is brutal for Vera-Tucker, who suffered a season-ending triceps injury last season against the Broncos as well.

Vera-Tucker has played in just 12 games since playing all 16 games his rookie year for the Jets.

The 2020 Morris Award winner was drafted in the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft by New York and made an immediate impact, earning starts at left guard. He’s been a dependable and flexible member of a Jets O-line that has now lost 2 key players to Achilles injuries this season following QB Aaron Rodgers’ tear in Week 1.
