Zach Charbonnet’s rookie season in the NFL is off to a bumpy start.

The former UCLA RB injured his shoulder in camp with the Seattle Seahawks Sunday and is now out indefinitely according to HC Pete Carroll, via ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

This comes while Seattle is dealing with a groin injury to standout RB Kenneth Walker, leaving the Seahawks down 2 players at the position heading into the final weeks until preseason.

Charbonnet was drafted 52nd overall by the Seahawks in the 2023 NFL Draft out of UCLA. He previously played for Michigan before transferring to UCLA in 2021.

And he was Wildy effective at UCLA, rushing for 2,496 yards and 27 touchdowns across 2 seasons in L.A. He’s a solid pass-catcher out of the backfield and, depending on the injury ‘s timetable, is set for a legitimate role in Year 1 with the Seahawks.
