UCLA appears to close to earning a commitment from 3-star running back Cameron Jones.

The Bruins have earned multiple 247Sports Crystal Ball projections for Jones’ commitment this weekend.

Jones will announce his commitment at 1 p.m. PT on Sunday afternoon.

UCLA director of player personnel Ethan Young hinted at a new commitment for the Bruins on Sunday morning.

If UCLA is able to land Jones’ commitment, he would be a big addition for the program in the class of 2024. He’s the No. 492 overall player and the No. 39 running back in the country, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 39 player from California.

He also has offers from programs such as Texas A&M, Oregon, Michigan State and Arizona State. He took an official visit to UCLA back in late May.

Jones attends St. John Bosco High School in California. He’s listed at 6-foot-1, 215 pounds.

UCLA has 8 commits so far in the class of 2024. Jones would be the Bruins’ first running back to join the class so far this cycle.
