UCLA to sell beer and wine at home men's and women's basketball games
UCLA plans to sell beer and wine inside Pauley Pavilion for men’s and women’s basketball games this upcoming season.
Fans will be able to purchase as many as two alcoholic beverages per transaction until the final 10 minutes of the second half for men’s games and until the end of the third quarter for women’s games. It’s another revenue stream for the athletic department, as the Bruins’ hoops programs figure to have a number of high-profile games this season.

“We heard the fans loud and clear that many wanted beer and wine options for their game experience,” said athletic director Martin Jarmond in a statement. “We’re excited to offer a wide selection of beer and wine while also promoting responsible drinking.”
Since Pauley Pavilion’s renovation 10 years ago, alcohol has been available only to Wooden Athletic Fund members in the Pavilion Club. Beer and wine sales at the Rose Bowl during home UCLA football games began last season.
Both the men’s and women’s teams begin the 2022-23 season at home on Nov. 7. The women’s team plays Cal Poly at 5:30 p.m. PT. The men’s team gets rolling against Sacramento State at 8:30 p.m. PT. Fans can purchase tickets for the upcoming season here.
