The Colorado Buffaloes received no shortage of hype ahead of the 2023 season and early on during it, but that has changed as Deion Sanders’ team has hit some rough patches.

While it would have been surprising after Week 1, it is not surprising to this point in the season that their next opponent on the schedule, the No. 23-ranked UCLA Bruins, opens as a 15-point favorite in Circa Sports’ odds.

Here’s a look at the opening betting line for every team in Week 9, from Circa Sports:

UCLA finished out its most recent matchup with a dominant, 42-7 win over the Stanford Cardinal. Quarterback Ethan Garbers, brother of former Cal quarterback Chase Garbers, entered the contest and went 20-of-28 passing for 240 yards with 2 touchdowns in the victory.

Colorado, led by standout QB Shedeur Sanders, was on an open date and did not take the field during Week 8. Their most recent opponent was also Stanford, which the Buffs fell to, 46-43. While the defense continued to falter, Sanders himself had a solid outing, completing 33-of-48 passes for 400 yards with 5 touchdowns and 1 interception.

The Bruins and the Buffaloes are set to kick off at 4:30 p.m. PT on Saturday on UCLA’s turf in what is sure to be an interesting game.
